“Hollywood Factory Reset” portrays the film industry as an absurd Rube Goldberg-like machine, incessantly spitting out images of the female body for consumption by eager moviegoers. The installation includes a chalk drawing, multi-layered 4k photo collage animation, and a unique soundtrack made in part with handmade instruments. Together, these elements satirically critique the antiquated gender power structures historically present within the movie-making system. This seamless factory operation is, however, interrupted by larger-than-life female provocateurs who disrupt its internal mechanisms. In its humorous critique of the film industry, the installation offers a biting commentary on gender politics, a cathartic dismantling of the exploitation of women, and a mischievous plan for recalibration.

*Installation Note: The video animation is projected onto a black chalkboard wall with a white chalk drawing. The viewer experiences a unique and mesmerizing glowing effect from the image when it is projected this way. This distinct luminosity can only be viewed in-person and recaptures some of the magic of early cinema.
