an exchange 2002
two channel video & sound installation
5 min. 30 sec. loop

statement:
This dual screen video and sound installation utilizes a collection of polar opposite images and a pair of contemplative portraits that when combined form two individual’s abstract mental landscapes. Through the juxtaposition of the screens, a metaphoric conversation can be read revealing emotions of alleviation, apprehension and impermanence. As a whole this installation aims to create an intimate space in which to open a dialogue or initiate a moment of intersection between opposites, in an attempt to explore connections to basic cycles of life.
