Edge of the Woods unfolds within the imagination of a young girl on the cusp of puberty. Moving through a lush, dreamlike forest, the video re-appropriates elements of fairy tales to explore innocence, desire, and loss. Structured as a dual narrative, the work blurs the boundaries between characters and the constructed ideas of femininity she inhabits. The dog and the girl mirror one another, shifting roles and sharing a fluid state of consciousness as she enters adolescence.
