Hollywood Factory Reset portrays the film industry as an absurd Rube Goldberg-like machine, endlessly churning out images of the female body for eager consumption. Inspired by the #metoo movement, this satirical animation critiques the outdated gender power structures that still dominate Hollywood. In an act of protest, larger-than-life female provocateurs ignite a rebellious disruption of the factory’s inner workings, offering a cathartic recalibration.
*Installation Note: The video animation was designed to be projected onto a black chalkboard wall with a white chalk drawing creating a glowing effect. This is not required to exhibit the work.
